A standard bass guitar has four strings, which are tuned like the lower four strings of a regular guitar, except they’re an octave lower. This means they’re tuned to E, A, D, and G, from lowest to highest. The bass runs you may have learned to play between chords on a standard guitar can be played likewise on the bass.
Bass guitars are most frequently available in electric solid body form, however, they’re also offered in electric hollow body models and acoustic style. Solid body bass guitars are what we usually think of initially. In addition to the four string configuration, they also come in other string numbers as well.
