Bass Guitar Problems

February 2, 2012 No Comments

TIP 1 – These days most basses have active pickups, and what this mean is at you have batteries operating the different frequencies in your bass. Most of the times when these batteries expire, the bass lets’ you know by a muting fuzz sound. This sound can be taken care of by simply installing new batteries.

Your bass is the expression of you, so if your bass sounds crappy, then the listener may think you’re crappy bass player, just because of something simple as a battery. If you’re wondering about what batteries are the best, I can’t tell you that one, but I like the bunny!

TIP 2 – Your gear has a lot to do with the way your bass sounds also. Let’s talk about your cable being one of those. I know we all love cheap, but this is where you don’t want to be frugal. Cable is one of the most important parts to you gear, I suggest investing in one that has gold tips and not too long.

Please take my advice, you don’t want to be on stage some where in front of thousands of people and your bass decides to stop talking. “TRUST ME” it happens. So please keep an extra cable ready to go!

TIP 3 – Most basses need to be intonated, even if it’s new. Intonation helps reduce fret buzz and lots of unnecessary visits to the guitar repair man. Please take the time to do all your pre- maintenance, so you will enjoy playing you bass more then having it repaired.

I would like to share with you again, please visit http://www.lordofguitar.com. It will change the way you have been learning guitar no matter you skill level or age!
